New Vaper's Section

This section is dedicated to new vapers that visit my blog. Quitting cigarettes can be one of the hardest things you will do in your life, and despite what most people seem to think it is still a hard road, even with vaping.

Finding a Reasonable Setup
Finding a decent, reasonably priced starter kit can be a major hardship to those new to vaping. There is so much cheaply made mass produced garbage out there that it can be hard to find something of good quality that will last a good long time and not break the bank. My honest recommendation for new vapers would be to buy a couple of 650 Mah Ego-C Twist Batteries. You can find these batteries on eBay for about $15.00 a piece without the charger. The charger will likely be about $5.00. Tanks are by far the biggest pain in the ass when a person is new to vaping, there are just so many, and they all preform a little bit different than each other. Regardless my recommendation for for starter tanks remains the Aspire K-1. The K-1 is a glass tank that holds 1.5 ml tank and goes for a shocking $15.00 for two of them. So if you go by my recommendation you can have a reasonable set up for a bout $50.00 after you buy a 5 pack of replacement coils.

Juice
E-Juice is yet another wonderful way to spend a truck load of money if you are not careful. It can also be quite the issue finding a flavor and VG/PG ratio that fits your needs. My recommendation when starting out is to stick with 50/50 PG/VG when ordering juice, it may also be good idea to order sample packs from various vendors to find out what you like. After you have found out what you like, you may consider to begin buying in bulk to save money, or even later down the line it might be time to think about DIY. As of now the cheapest place I know to get E-Juice in bulk or otherwise is at Mt. Baker Vapor. $35 for an 8 oz. bottle is steal.

Cutting Down on Cigarettes
Cutting down is the first step on the road to quitting, and you might be pleasantly surprised at how easy the cutting down part of quitting can be. It is however incredibly necessary when cutting down to remember that even though your body is still getting nicotine you will be experiencing withdraw symptoms around the second day of cutting back. Make sure to remember to keep hydrated and eat often to stave off the inevitable nicotine intoxication you likely feel in the early stages of cutting back.

Withdraw Symptoms
Withdraw symptoms are something that comes with the territory, but even if they get bad it's important to remember the goal in vaping. You don't need to quit overnight by any means, shit if it takes you three months to totally ween yourself off of cigarettes, you still got off cigarettes. One thing to remember is even after stopping completely, you likely will still have minor cravings. Sometimes these cravings are insanely hard to fight off. In some cases vapers in the early stages, or vapers who never seem to feel satisfied have found relief in snus. Snus contains some of the same organic chemicals that tobacco has, it is produced in a manner that reduces carcinogens and is considered about 90% more safe than a cigarette.
