Sigelei 100 Watt Plus

The Sigelei 100 Watt Plus is a new dual 18650 box mod capable of 100 watts of output. I got mine as a Christmas present to myself marking 6 months of not smoking cigarettes.

One of the first things that drew me to this particular box mod was the button. Most box mods seem to have dinky little buttons. The big button is nice, very responsive.

   

I'm not sure how I feel about the little design on the side of the mod but it does make it stand out a little more than a basic black box.

The inside of the box is very nice and clean, the battery door does not require screws, the battery door is held on by 4 magnets.

Price: $100
Build Quality: The build quality is pretty amazing for the price tag. The over all look of the mod clean and simple.
Power Output: 10-100 Watts. 100 watts is only achievable with resistance lower that .6 ohm.
Overall: 9.5/10 This is a wonderful mod with way more power than I can ever realistically see using. I typically use it around 30 watts and get amazing vapor and battery life out of this mod. The battery life for the Segelei 100 Watt Plus seems to be around a day, to a day and a half with two fully charged LGHE2 Batteries.

Nemesis 1:1 Clone Mod (Ebay)

This was my 1st nemesis clone. I have to say that the 1:1 clone is of higher quality than the newer fasttech clones that paid less for, I like that on this clone there are no sharp corners, they are all rounded. The fasttech clones are not at all like this.

I generally run this little beauty with a single 10.5 amp 18350 battery, which doesn't last long at all but for a while it was my only way to get a decent vape. 

For the most part these are all the parts that come with the nemesis mod. The switch comes apart into about five other pieces including a tiny little pin that is almost impossible to retrieve after loosing.

Build Quality: Pretty damn good, the only complaint that I have is that the threaded brass ring around the bottom switch insulator had to be replaced. This was mainly due to poor maintenance and carrying it in my pocket. All bad ideas in the first place.
Power Output: 4.2V - 3.5V Based on batteries charge.
Overall: 9/10 I can't really give this thing a 10, being as it is not the real thing. I would love to one day own a real nemesis. The overall design of the this is really quite brilliant. It does have some odds and ends that make it interesting as well. The adjustable airflow ring is an interesting addition that I have only really used once. It is also quite usable with all 18xxx battery sizes, as long as you stay with in the batteries amp limit.

iTaste SVD
The iTaste SVD was the first mod that I purchased and continues to function the same as the day I bought it more than 6 months ago.

A front view of the SVD, you can see the firing button and the two up and down buttons for power adjustment. The button has an LED that changes from Green to Yellow to Red depending on the amount of remaining battery life.

 A view of the display screen, the screen displays either voltage or wattage level, and will display the resistance of any attached tanks or coils by holding both adjustment buttons at the same time.

Build Quality: The build quality of the SVD is pretty solid as far as regulated mods go, the body is brushed stainless steel, and has almost no plastic parts aside from the button and screen. All threads on the mod are smooth and have held up quite well after 6 months of use. 

Power Output: 3-15 Watts, or 3V - 6V

Overall: 8/10 The iTaste SVD is a sturdily built VV/VW device that would be a great introduction to mods for a newer vaper. The only real gripe I have is that it has a very low wattage range, and isn't well suited for use with drippers. That being said, it is very well made and works well, if you are a low wattage vaper or a new vaper that wants to get into mods, this may very well be a great choice for you.

Ego Devices

Ego C Twist 650 Mah

Price: $12.00 - $15.00 (eBay) $25.00 (The Vapor Room)

Build Quality: The build quality of the Twist isn't what I what I would call amazing by any means, but at the price you can buy a new one every few months when the old ones break down. That being said the two that I now use at work have been in service for about three months now with no signs of quitting anytime soon.

Battery Life: 6-8 Hours depending on usage.

Overall: 8/10 The Ego Twist is a great little device that is adjustable in increments of .1 volt. Something I haven't seen in other VV Ego Batteries. The biggest advantage to these batteries is they are cheap and plentiful. My only gripe with the Twist is that it doesn't feature a pass through, so if you plan on a continuous vape you might want to grab two of these.

Ego T 350 Mah

Price: $4.12 (Fasttech) 

Build Quality: Standard Ego battery quality, somewhat of a throw away item. It will survive some abuse.

Battery Life: 1-3 Hours depending on use.

Overall: 5/10 The Ego-T 350 Mah battery is marketed towards new vapers, and rightly so. A majority of us who have been vaping for a while know that a 350 Mah battery won't last very long. Definitely not an entire day of use, however it is an amazingly small device that could be used quite well for stealth vaping or if you don't plan on being away from a charger for more than an hour or two. The good news is it is a pass through device, so it can be used even while charging. 

iTaste CLK 800 Mah VV

Price: $30.00 (eBay) $50.00 (Local Shop)

Build Quality: As ego batteries go, this thing is built like a brick, will survive a decent amount of abuse.

Battery Life: Around 8-12 Hours depending on usage.

Overall: 7/10 The iTaste click was my first VV device, and it served me well for almost six months of carrying it all day every day on a construction site. The 800 Mah battery, more often than not lasted a full 10 hour work day, and sometimes a few hours longer. The iTaste CLK is an amazing device for new vapers and is a reasonable option for experienced vapers looking for a good quality Ego type battery. The iTaste CLK also features a pass through and can be used while charging.
